Major Life Change

Things are very busy over here. A quarter of my furniture is gone, another quarter will vanish in two weeks, and I will follow after it a few weeks after that.

I’m moving home.

I’ve been living in the city for a very long time now, and it’s just not what I’ve ever wanted. As I sit here now, I can hear clanging and banging from down the street. My soundtrack is whatever the car driving down the street happens to be playing. If there isn’t a car alarm sounding, there’s a mockingbird echoing a car alarm. These are not the sounds I grew up with, and they aren’t the sounds I want.

I’m moving to where all I will hear is the wind moving through the ironwood trees, the songs of birds singing their own songs, and an occasional moo from the cows roaming the neighborhood. I’ll be a mile away from the house I grew up in, and I’ll have room for an herb garden, a dye-plants garden, and maybe someday a sheep!

There’s a lot more to tell, obviously, and a lot more to document, but I have to pack now.
